We saved an extra patty which was grilled slightly, then dipped in a batter, and deep fried for good measure.
Burgers are stuffed with a jalapeño, cream cheese and bacon mixture, then formed into patties and grilled. Serve on a toasted bun with caramelized onions.
This is a “Popper” burger. I think we’re going to make them again and celebrate Labor Day by deep frying a few, because, well, why wouldn’t we?
